- How do I get to Kinosaki Onsen and Nishimuraya Honkan?

- Is there a parking lot?
- Yes. We have a free parking lot. When you arrive at Nishimuraya Honkan, go through the gate.
Your car will be moved to the parking lot by our staff. - What time is the check-in time and check-out time?
- Our check-in time is 14:00 to 18:00, and our check-out time is 11:00 the following morning.
■ Rooms
- What kinds of rooms do you have?
- We have 2 types of Japanese-style guest rooms: an 8-tatami mat room, and a double suite comprising 10- and 6-tatami mat rooms. We also offer guests room with open-air-bath, deluxe rooms, and deluxe rooms with open-air bath.
- Do you have any rooms equipped with an open-air bath?
- Yes. We have four guest rooms equipped with open-air baths: Hatsune-no-Ma, Asuka-no-Ma, Horai-no-Ma, and Kangetsu-no-Ma.
- Do you have any two-room suites?
- We have Japanese-style suites of 10- and 6-tatami mat rooms and Matsu-no-Ma (deluxe room).
- Do you have any room with beds?
- No. All our rooms are Japanese style, and we do not offer beds.
If required, folding beds can be provided in certain rooms. For details, please contact us. - What facilities do you provide in the guest rooms?
- All rooms have a bathroom and a toilet (separate). The bathroom has a bathtub and a shower, and the toilet is equipped with bidet functions.
- What amenities are provided in the guest rooms?
- The following amenities are provided:
In the room: Air conditioning, fridge, TV, telephone and safe.
In the chest: Yukata and obi, and underwear (worn with a kimono)
In the bathroom: Hair dryer, bath towel, face towel, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, shampoo and rinse, and body soap.
■ Meals
- What is served for dinner?
- From April 1 to November 6, we serve the seasonal kaiseki dinner, prepared with ingredients in season. From November 7 to March 31, we mainly serve the crab kaiseki dinner and the crab full-course dinner, both featuring locally harvested Matsuba crabs.
- Where do you serve dinner?
- We serve dinner in your guest room.
- When will dinner be served?
- Generally you can arrange to have dinner served any time between 18:00 to 19:00.
- If there is any food I don't like, can you prepare the meal without it?
- If you have any food you don't like, please let us know by the day before. We will prepare a different ingredient or dish for you.
- Can I order additional food?
- Yes. We accept orders for extra dishes. Please feel free to order.
- If we stay for more than one night, will the dinner menu change?
- We will change the dinner menu for the second and subsequent days for our guests.
- What is served for breakfast?
- We serve a Japanese-style breakfast made with locally harvested seafood and vegetables in season. If you wish, we can also prepare Western-style breakfast for you.
■ Baths
- Can you provide us with information on the baths (uchiyu, or “inside baths”) in Nishimuraya Honkan?
- In Nishimuraya Honkan, there are three baths (uchiyu): Kichi-no-Yu, Fuku-no-Yu, and Sho-no-Yu. Kichi-no-Yu and Fuku-no-Yu have separate bathing times for men and women, and the bathing times alternate between morning and evening. The operating hours of the respective baths are as follows:
Kichi-no-Yu and Fuku-no-Yu: Check-in - 24:30, and 5:30 - 10:30 the following morning
Sho-no-Yu (Hiratakan): Check-in - 23:00, and 6:30 - 9:30 the following morning - Are the baths (uchiyu) in Nishimuraya Honkan natural hot springs?
- Kichi-no-Yu, Fuku-no-Yu and Sho-no-Yu are natural hot springs. However, please note that the baths in the guest rooms and the open-air baths in the deluxe rooms are not natural hot springs, because of the rules of Kinosaki Onsen.
- Can you provide us with information about public bathhouses (sotoyu, or “outside baths”) in Kinosaki Onsen?
- In the Kinosaki Onsen resorts, there are seven sotoyu (bath houses outside ryokans), each of which is located five to fifteen minutes walk from Nishimuraya Honkan. Our overnight guests will be given free tickets for sotoyu baths. The free tickets can be used repeatedly, from 14:00 to 10:00 the following morning (however, if using the public bathhouses before or after check-in, you will be charged). Please be advised that the operating hours vary according to the public bathhouses, as noted below.

■ Fees and Payments
- What is included in the rates?
- Usually, our rates include accommodation, meals (dinner and breakfast), consumption tax, and hot spring tax (150 yen for adults only).
- Can you provide us with information on the rates for children?
- The rates for children and what is included in the rates vary according to the age of the children, as listed below. At the time of booking, please let us know the age and number of children who are going to stay.
Children aged 10-12 years old
Rate: 70% of the adult rate
Includes dinner (with fewer menu items than adults), futon, yukata, and breakfast
Children aged 7-9 years old
Rate: 50% of the adult rate
Includes children's menu, futon, yukata, and breakfast.
Children under 7 years old
Rate: Not charged for accommodation but charged if the following options are used.
Futon and yukata: 2,625 yen
Children's dinner: 3,150 yen
Breakfast: 1,575 yen - When should I pay?
- Please pay when you check out. If you reserve through our website, you can also pay by credit card in advance.
- Do you accept credit cards?
- Yes. We accept the following credit cards: JCB, VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Diner's Club, UFJ, UC, DC, and NICOS
■ Facilities and Others
- Do you offer massage services?
- Yes. The in-room massage service, available at 4,000 yen (tax included) for 40 minutes, may be arranged at the front desk any time from 15:00 to 24:00.
- Is the Internet available?
- Yes. We have personal computers that can be used by our guests free of charge, in the lobby. Also, for our guests who wish to use their own notebook computers, a wireless LAN connection service is provided in the lobby.
- Do you offer laundry (cleaning) services?
- No. We regret to say that we do not provide such services.
- Do you have a curfew?
- We have no curfew. However, the entrance shutter will be closed at 23:00. When the shutter is closed, please enter through the door on the left hand side.
